Man sends bloody cow's head to wife's lover
A Westmoreland County man who mailed a bloody cow's head to his wife's lover has been admitted to probation and community service. Jason Michael Fife "understands that in a civilized society a person cannot send a severed cow's head to anybody," said his defense lawyer, Henry Hilles. "My client did step over the line here, but one can certainly understand his frustration, given that the victim was carrying on an affair with my client's wife," Mr. Hilles said. .

Emanuel Bueno, chief of the hospital's emergency room, physicians' could not immediately operate on Zafra because of the severity of his head injury.
As of last report, Zafra remained under observation and is being supported by mechanical ventilation. Doctors said they will keep the patient under observation for the next 24 to 28 hours.
University officials, meanwhile, have yet to give a statement regarding the incident.
Authorities are still investigating the incident and are not discounting the possibility of foul play. .
